Tasmania has recorded 683 new COVID-19 cases, as the number of people being treated for the virus in hospital declines.
Saturday's daily case figure is the lowest since January 3 and hospitalisations have fallen since the beginning of the week.
Seventeen people are in hospital with COVID-19, with seven of those being treated specifically for the virus - a decrease of two from Friday.
One person is in intensive care.
The remaining 10 people with the virus in hospital are being treated for unrelated medical conditions.
There are now 4935 active cases in the state, continuing a downward trend since January 19.
Premier Peter Gutwein has indicated the state government is considering dropping check-in rules for a host of venues as case numbers dip.
A review is being undertaken to determine whether the Check in TAS app should only be used for high-risk settings such as aged care, hospitals and mass gatherings.
Tasmania has recorded four coronavirus deaths since reopening to mainland hotspots on December 15.
The state has reported 17 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, the majority occurring during an outbreak in the northwest in early 2020.
