Adelaide United winger Ben Halloran's transfer to South Korea has been confirmed with the 29-year-old moving to K-League outfit FC Seoul for an undisclosed fee.
Halloran's move had been in the pipeline since the start of the month after he was a notable absentee from the Reds' line-up for their 4-0 A-League Men win over Wellington Phoenix.
Veart confirmed Halloran had secured a move to an unnamed Korean club after that result, which was Adelaide's first win of the 2021-22 campaign.
On Monday, the Reds announced FC Seoul would be the 2020-21 Aurelio Vidmar medallist's destination.
Halloran joined the Reds in 2018 and has scored 21 goals in 88 matches, winning the 2018 and 2019 FFA Cups.
"I leave with a very heavy heart," the Queensland-born attacker said.
"The club and the city mean a great deal to me and this was by no means an easy decision.
"It's bittersweet to be leaving such a great bunch of boys, but I believe it is the right time in my career to take this opportunity."
Halloran has made six Socceroos appearances and was part of Australia's squad at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Halloran is potentially not the only key player set to depart Adelaide during the January transfer window, with captain Stefan Mauk linked to a move to Japan.
Reds chief executive Nathan Kosmina said the club, who have been linked to veteran Spanish playmaker and ex-Perth Glory favourite Diego Castro, will announce two new signings by the end of the week.
"There's been dozens of names and our recruiting goes everywhere from the local NPL to every country in the world in terms of agents contacting us," Kosmina said.
"We've had a look at a lot of players, we're close to finalising two at the moment, one out of Asia and one Australian.
"Hopefully in the next 48-72 we can announce (them)."
Elsewhere, Wellington Phoenix have confirmed the termination of Luka Prso's contract.
The 20-year-old Olyroo joined the Phoenix in October after negotiating an early release from a deal with Croatian club Osijek.
Prso didn't make a single A-League Men's appearance during his time with the Phoenix, only playing two FFA Cup matches for Ufuk Talay's team.
