SEVEN first-time councillors have nabbed a seat on Northern Beaches Council with votes now finalised following the December 4 election.
The results for the 15-seat council were finalised on Tuesday, and they revealed that Your Northern Beaches Independent Team, which is led by mayor Michael Regan, nabbed the most seats at six. Liberals followed with five seats, Greens with two, Independents with one, and Good for Manly with one.
Of the 15 elected councillors, eight are women and seven are men.
Eight sitting councillors were re-elected, they include: mayor Michael Regan and deputy mayor Candy Bingham, along with Sue Heins, David Walton, Stuart Sprott, Sarah Grattan, Vincent De Luca and Rory Amon.
The Northern Beaches Council area is split into five wards - Curl Curl, Frenchs Forest, Manly, Narrabeen and Pittwater. Read more about what your newly elected councillors stand for here.
The election on December 4 was for the 15 councillors who will serve on Northern Beaches Council. A vote on who becomes mayor will be made by the councillors at their first meeting on December 29.
