AS COVID cases continue to increase in the northern beaches, NSW is heading towards another vaccine milestone.
In early November the number of active COVID cases in the Beaches fell to a low of 11 (down from a Delta outbreak high of 151 in early October), but the cases have been increasing in the past week. Data to 8pm on November 19 shows there are now 29 active cases in the LGA.
Meanwhile, in NSW 94.4 per cent of people aged 16 years and older have had their first dose of a COVID vaccine.
Not far behind, 91.8 per cent of over 16-year-old people in the state have had both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Teenagers are getting vaccinated in large numbers, with 81 per cent of 12 to 15 year-olds have had one COVID-19 vaccine and 75.3 per cent have had two doses.
Yesterday, 176 people tested positive to COVID-19. There were 55,330 tests conducted until 8pm on Saturday night. 192 people are in hospital with Coronavirus, 32 people in ICU and there were two COVID-related deaths.
As the world starts to return to normal, many people are contemplating how they will work moving into a post-COVID environment.
A new study involving software company Adaptvist shows 48 per cent of Australia's digital workers want to return to the office full-time, while 42 per cent prefer a hybrid model. Only one in 10 want to work exclusively remote.
