LIBERAL MP Jason Falinski has slammed Climate 200 and GetUp supporters for repeated attacks on his office, but the groups have denied involvement in the incidents.
The incumbent MP has labelled attacks on his office and damage to his corflute signs as "dirty politics" as the race to the federal election on May 21 heats up.
One brazen daylight incident at 10.15am on Good Friday (April 15) was captured on CCTV. Footage shows a person using spray paint to stencil QR codes [linking to School Strike 4 Climate Change] onto the footpath outside Falinski's office on Pittwater Road in Narrabeen.
The words 'VOTE JASON FALINSKI OUT' were also spray painted on the ground near the office's door.
On March 19, at 10.40pm, Mr Falinski said a sticker with "vaguely anti-Semitic remarks" was stuck to his office window.
The incumbent MP said a number of his Corflute posters have been vandalised and others turned away from oncoming traffic, and he accused Climate 200 and GetUp of all the incidents.
"Someone thought it would be a clever way to communicate their political points of view by graffiti-ing the office of the federal member and the foot pavement outside it," Mr Falinski said.
"We hear a lot about a new way of doing politics, with integrity and honesty and transparency, but what I don't see is a lot of the people who talk about that actually walking the walk of what those things mean."
A Climate 200 spokesperson said "Climate 200 has absolutely nothing to do with these incidents and has no idea who is responsible for them".
A GetUp spokeswoman said "GetUp has never been involved in damaging candidate posters or materials and we condemn that behaviour".
"We have a strict volunteer code of conduct that demands a high standard of ethical campaigning," she said.
"GetUp's focus in Mackellar is to hand out climate-themed how-to-vote cards at the polling booths. It looks like many voters in Mackellar will be punishing the Morrison Government on its policy record, and our how to vote card directs voters how to do that."
A NSW Police spokeswoman said the incidents at Mr Falinski's office had been reported.
"Initial inquiries indicate a grey car stopped in front of an office on Pittwater Road about 10am on Friday, April 15, 2022, before a male passenger exited the vehicle and began spraying white paint on the footpath using a stencil," she said.
"The person then returned to the vehicle and it drove from the scene.
"Police have also been notified of an incident on March 19, 2022, when a sticker was placed on a poster outside an office on Pittwater Road, Narrabeen."
The spokeswoman said inquiries into the incidents continue and it is unknown if they are related. If you have information, contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Meanwhile, around 200 Liberal party supporters and members from all levels of government attended Mr Falinski's campaign launch at Cromer Golf Club on Sunday.
Among the crowds were three Liberal state MPs from the northern beaches, including Infrastructure Minister, Pittwater's Rob Stokes, Environment and Heritage Minister, Manly's James Griffin and Health Minister, Wakehurst's Brad Hazzard.
Liberal Northern Beaches councillors Georgia Ryburn, Rory Amon and Bianca Crvelin were there, along with Liberal senators Andrew Bragg and Jane Hume.
