ANYONE who attended Christmas by the Beach in Dee Why on Saturday is urged to monitor for COVID-19 symptoms following a positive case at the event.
The Northern Beaches Council run event was held at James Meehan Reserve and was attended by thousands of families and performers.
"We have been notified by NSW Health that a person who is a confirmed case of COVID-19 attended the Christmas by the Beach event at Dee Why on Saturday evening," a council spokeswoman said.
"We have been provided no additional information.
"NSW Health will contact anyone required to take further action directly."
The spokeswoman said if you have not been contacted by NSW Health the recommendation is to monitor for symptoms and immediately get tested and isolate if any develop.

Meanwhile health authorities have backflipped on plans to close the COVID testing clinic at Brookvale Community Health Centre.
The clinic was due to close down for good this Friday, but that decision was reversed two days before the planned shut down.
There are currently 82 active COVID cases in the northern beaches, data to 8pm on December 13 shows.
