BROOKVALE'S COVID-19 testing clinic will be closed down, as virus cases slowly rise in the northern beaches.
The clinic, located at Brookvale Community Health Centre, will be shut down on Friday, December 17.
"All staff currently working at the clinic will be redeployed to other COVID-19 testing clinics, including Mona Vale Hospital," a Northern Sydney Local Health District spokesman said.
"As has occurred frequently throughout the pandemic response, clinics can reopen should the need arise for additional COVID-19 testing on the northern beaches."
While there are 10 other COVID testing clinics in the LGA, the Brookvale site is easily accessible by public transport and often used by the elderly and Westfield Warringah Mall staff.
The NSLHD spokesman declined to confirm if health authorities had plans to shut down other testing sites in the LGA.
