NSW COVID-19 cases have soared past the 300 mark again, with more Omicron cases flagged in the state.
The eighth case, who arrived on a flight from Singapore, was confirmed overnight.
The fully-vaccinated traveller has been in hotel quarantine since arriving late last month, and had recently been in southern Africa.
The 337 new cases mean there are 140 cases in NSW hospitals, with 25 requiring intensive care.
There were no new deaths added to the pandemic's toll in the Friday update.
First dose vaccination for people 16 and over remains at 94.6 per cent, with double dose at 92.6 per cent.
For those 12 to 15, the numbers are 81.3 and 76.9 per cent respectively.
Of the 337 cases reported to 8pm on Thursday, December 2, 26 are from the Northern Sydney Local Health District of which the northern beaches is included. Others were:
- 76 are from South Western Sydney Local Health District (LHD)
- 67 are from Western Sydney LHD
- 58 are from South Eastern Sydney LHD
- 34 are from Sydney LHD
- 26 are from Northern Sydney LHD
- 24 are from Nepean Blue Mountains LHD
- 23 are from Illawarra Shoalhaven LHD
- 10 are from Western NSW LHD
- 7 are from Hunter New England LHD
- 6 are from Mid North Coast LHD
- 3 are from Murrumbidgee LHD
- 1 is from Central Coast LHD
- 1 is from Northern NSW LHD
- 1 is from Southern NSW LHD.
