Family fun fair
WARRIEWOOD
Bring the family to enjoy a ninja obstacle course, giant slide, mechanical surfing, petting zoo, face painting, food, Christmas market stalls and live music. All funds raised go to local NSW Surf Life Saving clubs. On from 10am-6pm at Pittwater Rugby Park.
Youth skate event
MONA VALE
Skating prodigy Ruby 'Rockstar' Trew is headlining the Drop in for Youth vertical skating comp this Saturday. The competition starts at 10.30am, with entries open for under six all the way through to masters (45+ years). Come and compete or just watch the action at the skate park (at Kitchener Park). Register to compete. This is a Lifeline event that will showcase local mental health services.
Christmas by the beach
DEE WHY
Come along for carols and a children's Christmas show at James Meehan Reserve this Friday from 5-7.30pm. Bring a picnic, takeaway or grab food from vendors onsite. Free entry, gates open at 4pm.
Single launch sounds

Like your music a bit heavier? Don't miss local band Hawker this Saturday at the Old Manly Boatshed when they launch two singles Bot Noxious and Chaka. Support act Speaking of Which will hit the stage at 7.30pm, followed by Outer Control at 8.30pm and then Hawker at 9.30pm. Book your tickets.

Seaside foraging tour

Learn about the most common edible weeds, coastal wild food, littoral plants and their uses from an indigenous and cosmopolitan perspective. This informative family-friendly workshop is on Sunday from 8-10.30am. Cost is $35 for Permaculture Northern Beaches members and $45 for non-members. Book your place.

Put yourself to the test at a charity quiz night this Saturday from 7.30-10pm. There will be bingo, a raffle and a coin throwing competition and funds raised will support Balgowlah Rotary Community Projects. Prizes to be won. It's on at Balgowlah RSL, cost is $30pp, book here.
