NSW has recorded 248 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths in the 24 hours to 8pm on Tuesday, November 23.
The state's population aged 16 years and over is now 92 per cent fully vaccinated, while 94.4 per cent have had their first COVID-19 vaccine shot.
Those aged between 12 and 15 years are 75.7 cent fully vaccinated, while 81 per cent have had their first dose.
There are 195 COVID-19 patients in hospital, with 35 in ICU.
Yesterday, 80,317 tests were conducted which was up on the previous day's total of 52,302.
NSW Health has reported two deaths of people who had COVID-19, they include:
- A man in his 80s from western Sydney died at Nepean Hospital. He was not vaccinated and had underlying health conditions.
- A woman in her 60s from the Wollongong area died at Wollongong Hospital. She had received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and had underlying health conditions.
Yesterday, South Western Sydney Local Health District recorded the highest number of coronavirus cases across the state with 46 cases recorded.
Western Sydney LHD recorded 25 new cases, while Sydney LHD had 21, making it the area with the third highest new cases recorded yesterday.
