AN IGA supermarket will open in Freshwater in November, with the retailer advertising for staff at the site.
The village has been without a supermarket since IGA closed in October 2018, and the community has long called for another one to open.
Supamart Freshwater signs have now been erected at the store, located at the intersection of Albert Street and Moore Road, with other signs encouraging people to apply for jobs.
"Now hiring. Full time, part time and casual positions available. All days and all hours," the sign states.
"Morning shifts from 7am available, day shirts available, all hours, afternoon shifts available."
Other signs on the shopfront encourage people to "shop online now", with the promise of next day delivery for orders placed by 5pm.
A spokeswoman for the Cremorne-based Karellas Group, which has six IGA stores around Sydney, said the store will open next month but declined to provide an official opening date.
