The NSW regional towns of Orange and Glen Innes are coming out of lockdown.
NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard said the stay-at-home orders for Glen Innes in the Northern Tablelands and Orange in the Central Tablelands will no longer apply from midnight.
"I am pleased to be saying today, there's no more major issues in Orange or Glen Innes.
"So they will come out of the current lock down arrangements. There will be still standard restrictions and precautionary measures but they will be out and back to a more normal life as of midnight tonight," he said on Thursday.
Stay-at-home orders for Hilltops Local Government areas, including Young, will be extended for a further seven days from Friday due to ongoing transmission of COVID-19 in the area.
On Wednesday Lismore in the north and Albury in the south were released from stay-at-home orders from midnight, after no new cases were reported in the regions since they were locked down on September 16.
Several local council areas in the state's west including Gilgandra and Brewarrina were also freed from lockdown at midnight after going 14 days without any new COVID cases.
Mr Hazzard said restrictions will also ease on Saturday in Narromine in western NSW, provided the town has no cases of sewage detections before then.
"The folks of Narromine can know if there are no major issues in their area by Saturday night, midnight, they will come out of that arrangement," he said.
NSW Health is urging all people throughout NSW to continue to come forward for COVID-19 testing at the first sign of even mild symptoms.
High vaccination rates are also essential to reduce the risk of transmission and protect the health and safety of the community.
