A Melbourne service station employee who lured a teenage girl into a back staff room where he kissed and touched her has been jailed.
Sunny Miglani, then 33, sexually assaulted the 16-year-old girl after she rode her bike to the Crib Point servo in April 2019 to buy butter menthols.
The girl reported the incident to police and despite being interviewed he was back at it just a month later, targeting a 37-year-old woman while she was in the store alone with him at night.
Miglani pleaded guilty to two charges of sexual assault and one of false imprisonment over the incidents, described by magistrate Luisa Bazzani as worthy of serious punishment.
The attack on the teen was particularly concerning, she told Maglani, who was ordered to spent six months behind bars and be registered a a sex offender for eight years.
"To do what you did to her was intimidating, it was disgusting, it was against her will and it must have been pretty frightening for her," she said.
"I'm confident you don't have any genuine remorse for your actions ... because everything I've read about you indicates you have a sense of entitlement in your conduct toward these women, or you did at the time."
Miglani coaxed the girl into a staff room at the servo, offering her a free chocolate bar and telling her he didn't want her riding her bike home in the rain.
In the room he hugged her, and kissed her cheek and forehead before touching her breasts.
He told her she was "cute". The girl fled.
He struck again on May 8, offering the older woman free cigarettes.
She thought the man's behaviour was strange.
"Are you going to stab me," she asked when he tried to get her to follow him into a staff room.
She went to the door and as she bent down to pick up some dropped change he asked "you want fun, you want f***?".
He put his arm around her waist and touched her behind then nuzzled into her face.
She swore loudly and tried to run, but Miglani flew past her and shut the door, imprisoning her inside.
She wrestled with Miglani and was able to rush from the store.
Miglani was later arrested, asking officers not to tell his wife.
While Miglani's lawyers tried to argue factors including that he was on a bridging visa and that he was married were matters in his favour, Ms Bazzani said both had applied when he offended.
Miglani will be placed on an 18-month community corrections order after his release from prison, and be subject to supervision conditions and potential sex offender treatment programs.
