Just wild about Harry
Renowned Australian tenor Jonathon Welch, best known for his award winning Choir of Hard Knocks, and recent appearance on The Voice 2020, brings to life the music and career of one of the most popular Welsh tenors and comedian, Sir Harry Secombe. This show will include stunning renditions of Secombe's greatest hits including Love, This is My Song, Vienna City of My Dreams, Bless this House, Love is a Many Splendored Thing, I Believe and If I Ruled the World! It's on Sunday at 5pm and Monday at 11am at Glen Street Theatre. All tickets $30, bookings essential.
This morning workshop will be looking at a series of five self-portraits that convey a shift from one emotion to another. These images will be taken as selfies and then transcribed as illustrations to create an 'emotional' flipbook. Bring your mobile phone with camera device or print out five self-portraits photos that show a shift from one emotion to another. Suitable for 11-15 year olds. All art materials included. Cost is $10-$55 with Creative Kids Voucher. It's on Thursday from 10am-12.30pm. Bookings essential.
Kids on the coast
Love exploring and want to learn more about the amazing creatures that call the beach home? Join in an expedition out to the North Narrabeen Aquatic Reserve and discover the magic of these places for yourself. Peer into rock pools, build sandcastles and explore the coast. Suitable for children aged 6-12 years. This is a Northern Beaches Council event and cost is $66. It's on Friday from 10am-3pm. Seniors walking tour
Join a 'Walk and Talk' event with the Friends of Ivanhoe Park Botanic Garden on Tuesday, April 13. Meet at Manly Oval Pavilion for a short talk and slide show while the CWA Manly branch serves up a delicious tea. The walk that follows will showcase botanic and local history.
