An alleged drug syndicate with links to outlaw motorcycle groups has been disrupted after a major operation across Queensland and NSW.
Officers intercepted a van south of Brisbane on Thursday, which is alleged to contain six 44 gallon drums containing precursor chemicals for making methamphetamine.
Further searches uncovered another 400 litres of precursor chemicals at an industrial site in the same area.
An additional 130 kilograms of meth and 1.5 kilograms of cocaine was seized and a 30-year-old man arrested after a search warrant was executed in the Brisbane suburb of Eight Mile Plains.
NSW Police also found more than $475,000 in cash after intercepting and charging an interstate truck driver.
It will be alleged the interstate truck driver met with the Queensland offenders when exchanges took place.
The quantity of drugs seized is significant, but Acting Inspector Brad Phelps from Queensland police said the amount of precursor chemicals was particularly concerning.
"Those quantities of precursor chemicals could, in theory, produce very significant quantities of dangerous drugs, which would significantly impact and harm the community," he said on Friday.
He said the investigation targeted a syndicate with links to outlaw motorcycle groups including the Comancheros.
"Certainly it would appear that there's some cooperation between these outlaw motorcycle groups and coordination to bring these drugs to different communities in different states," he said.
