Brookvale arson attack: CCTV footage released of incident

DRAMATIC footage of an arson attack that destroyed two vehicles parked under a block of units has emerged with police calling for the public's help.

A car and a motorcycle were destroyed in the attack which occurred at 3.15am on August 17 last year.

"Three people broke into the secure underground carpark of an apartment building on Roger Street, Brookvale," a NSW Police spokesperson said.

"The trio approached a Holden Commodore and poured accelerate over the vehicle and set it a light."

Fire and Rescue NSW attended, and the blaze was extinguished; however, the vehicle and a Harley Davidson motorcycle parked nearby were destroyed.

Detectives from the Northern Beaches Police Area Command established Strike Force Gelfius to investigate the arson attack.

As inquiries continue, investigators have released CCTV of several people they would like to speak to as part of the investigation.

"The first man is shown wearing a green camouflage hooded jumper, black pants and black Nike sneakers," the police spokesperson said.

"The second man is shown wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants, and black shoes.

"The third man is wearing a black hooded jumper, navy track suit pants, and white sneakers."

Investigators have also released images of a fourth man who they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.

He is Caucasian appearance with a medium build. He is shown wearing a grey and orange 'Fox' hooded jumper, grey track suit pants, and a white cap.
